Parallels Launches Plesk Panel, Web Presence Builder 11.5
Web hosting software provider Parallels announced on Wednesday it has launched control panel Parallels Plesk Panel 11.5, and web builder software Parallels Web Presence Builder 11.5.
This marks the first major release of Parallels Plesk Panel in a year, following the release of Parallels Plesk Panel 11, which has been the fastest growing hosting control panel product in company history.
Parallels Plesk Panel 11.5 further enables hosting providers to grow their businesses with “rich hosting plans and to use technologies to provide the most intuitive experience for customers,” according to the press release.
Parallels Web Presence Builder 11.5 further helps hosting providers attract new customers and differentiate their offerings with more advanced tools to convert active prospects into buyers.
Version 11.5 of Parallels Plesk Panel allows service providers to maximize and control upsell processes with the management of panel promotions, notifications and licenses.
Web hosting providers can also mix and match PHP versions on a single server, allowing easy consolidation of websites into the latest version of the panel.
The driving aspect of Parallels Plesk Panel 11.5 is that it will help deliver profitable hosting for web hosting providers and website designers by addressing their key business objectives including driving business growth by simplifying the customers’ upgrade process, upselling services and delivering greater usability.
“If you’re running a high volume of websites on a limited number of panels on single servers, the performance is definitely the biggest change,” Adam Bogobowicz, senior director of product marketing at Parallels, said in an interview at HostingCon 2013 last week. “The fact that you can abstract the static content through the nginx, web hosts will see the immediate impact of that. The usability for end users is going to be relevant to web hosts in that there will be less tickets and questions about what’s happening on their websites that they will have to manage.”
Parallels Web Presence Builder 11.5 provides web hosts with more advanced tools to attract and retain SMBs with an entry-level hosting solution and an easy-to-build business website.
The latest version delivers many improvements to improve the aesthetics of small business websites both within a web browser and on mobile devices.
Users can now create more sophisticated website designs and export or import design templates for sharing and third-party design work.
Additionally, websites created with Parallels Web Presence Builder are automatically optimized for mobile devices to boost the experience of mobile visitors.
Parallels Web Presence Builder 11.5 offers many improvements for end-users, including Adobe Flash integration to embed objects within text, image, logo and banner modules, Google Maps module integration to display maps and directions, and Google Web Fonts support to enable hundreds of new fonts for website customization.
Parallels Web Presence Builder is available in 12 languages and can be deployed on a range of platforms including Parallels Plesk Panel, Parallels Plesk Automation, Parallels Automation and cPanel.
“SMBs today have many choices when selecting hosting and cloud services,” said John Zanni, vice president of service provider marketing and alliances at Parallels. “They expect best-of-class service from their service provider so they can focus on their customers instead of worrying about IT. Parallels Plesk Panel 11.5 comes with additional usability, performance and security benefits that make it a no-brainer upgrade. It’s the only choice for professional hosting service providers.”
Earlier this month, Parallels expanded its Africa operations with a new office and sales representation in Johannesburg, South Africa.
